2024 CEVA GJNC BID TOURNAMENTMARCH 3, 2024This tournament is intended for teams who wish to compete for a bid to USAV Girls’ National Championships.  Clubs should only register teams for this event if they are intending to participate in these National Championship events.  Ensure you understand the bid acceptance requirements outlined on the CEVA webpage prior to registering.The Junior Handbook outlines how teams are selected for this event.Registration for the Bid Tournament will be done via AES, and will open on Monday, November 6 at 9:00 AM.  Note that more teams will be allowed to register than capacity allows (see note on this page regarding tournament capacity).  Teams will not be asked to pay for the tournament entry fee until they qualify based on their Power League ranking.  Deadline for registration is 3:00 PM on January 31, 2024.All divisions will have a capacity of 8 teams.  Teams are obligated to accept a bid should they earn it.  In the event a team earns a higher bid at a later date or already has a higher bid, an earned/accepted bid at this tournament will trickle-down to the next highest finisher.  Earned bids may still trickle down.  Teams who do not earn a bid at our Bid Tournament will be placed on a waiting list to accept a trickle-down in-region bid later in the year if one becomes available.  The waiting list will be populated in order of finish.  Teams who are asked later in the year if they want to accept a bid through the trickle-down process are not required to accept.  Teams who earn a bid at the CEVA Bid Tournament are responsible for paying their entry fees to USAV and completing all appropriate entry requirements.  CEVA will no longer be accepting checks for clubs’ entry fees into GJNC.  Clubs are responsible for paying these fees directly to USAV via AES or check.Entry fees to this event will be $215 per team.  Clubs will not be able to pay for the event in AES until they qualify.  Once they qualify for the tournament officially, a team’s status in AES will be switched to “OK To Pay” and that will serve as notice that the team has qualified and payment is due.Payments for teams who qualify for the tournament are due by 3:00 PM on Tuesday, February 27, 2024.  To prevent late cancellations, all teams who qualify for this event will be required to pay the entry fee, regardless of if they participate.  Credit card processing fees are non-refundable.
