Details: Jersey Shore Joust is a 2 day tournament with morning and afternoon waves on first day, Cross-over, challenge matches, etc  plus playoffs the second day.  Winning teams will earn a free or discounted entry fee for the AAU National Championships, the West Coast Championships, or the Volleyball Festival. The amount of the discount depends on the number of teams competing in the event in that age division. The discount could range from 30% to 100%.  These events are not qualifiers for the National Championships, as the Nationals are open to any team.  All teams must still enter the National Championships, West Coast Championships, or Volleyball Festival by the entry deadline, regardless of the date of the Grand Prix or Super Regional.  Spots will not be held for winning teams.Registration: All teams must be registered on AES, paid in full and meet the hotel requirements before the deadline to be accepted into the tournament. Please note that divisions may fill prior to the deadline date. This event is a stay to play tournament. Any team traveling further than 60 miles must secure a minimum number of rooms through Joust Housing. Rooms must be booked through the housing website for team qualification and rooms booked directly through hotels will not apply.Entry Fee:  Age Groups: Open and Club Divisions. 18/17 Open, 18/17 Club, 16 open, 16 Club, 15 Open, 15 Club, 14 Open 14 Club, 13 Open, 13/12  Club.  Request for waivers to a team play in lower age group will not be accepted.  Age groups maybe be combined in pool and then have separate age playoffs if necessary. How to win Nationals entry: The winner in each girls’ division with 16 or more teams will receive a free entry to the AAU National Championships, the West Coast Championships, or the Volleyball Festival.  If less teams participate, the entry fee will be adjusted on a percentage basis based on the number of teams that participated in that division.  Winner if not attending Nationals will receive a free entry to a future NJ AAU event (Jersey Shore Joust, North East Super Regional)Divisions: Joust : 18/17 Open, 17 Club, 16 Open, 16 Club, 15 Open, 15 Club, 14 Open, 14 Club, 13 Open 13 Club, 12 Club Team withdrawals:  Any team withdrawing must submit request in writing from the club director via email stating the team is withdrawing and receive confirmation in return.  Email: joust@powerzonevb.com.  There are no refunds of entry fees once a team is accepted into the tournament. Refund Policy: Refunds are entry fee – $50 withdrawal fee. There are no refunds of entry fees once a team is accepted into the tournament with the following 2 exceptions. 1) Team is denied entry because the division is filled, the team may cancel its application and receive a full refund of its team registration fee or may go on the wait-list,  2) a team on a waiting list may withdraw and obtain a full refund of its team registration fee anytime before the event accepts the team into the tournament from the waiting list.  Once a team has been accepted into the event, they will not receive a refund.
